Youth Bible Study
“As for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Messiah Jesus.”
- 2 Timothy 3:14-15
During the week, we ask youth to spend 15 minutes a day studying a portion of Scripture using an inductive Bible study workbook designed to teach basic Bible study skills. This year we are studying the gospel of John together. This study is Christian, evangelical, and non-denominational. We have youth from several different churches attending.
We meet every Friday evening as detailed in the schedule below. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about our online Youth Bible Study.

The Good Shepherd
by Sophia (age 11)
In the darkness lonely and cold,
the sheep lay on a rocky ledge.
It had no hope of rescue,
and it lay right on the edge.
But the shepherd searched for his sheep,
over hills and valleys rough.
Although he still had ninety-nine,
ninety-nine was not enough.
The sheep ran with all its might,
for a wolf was at its heels.
Bleat and howl, snarl and growl,
the sheep was almost caught!
But then the shepherd came,
and killed that wolf then and there,
and from the sheep was missing not a hair.
Though thieves and robbers come,
the sheep will not follow them.
For they do not know the shepherd's voice,
but the shepherd calls his sheep by name.
Friends, we are that sheep,
out in the darkness.
But if we believe in him,
Jesus will rescue us,
for he gave his life for us,
because HE is the good shepherd.
A Prayer from John 1-11
By Sophia (age 11)
Dear God, thank you that you gave us the book of John so that we may believe.
(John 1) Thank you that you are full of grace and truth.
(John 2) Please turn my selfish works of water into wine, the fruit of the spirit.
(John 3&4) Thank you that I have been born again and for giving me the water of life.
(John 5&6) Help me to honour you and to judge with right judgement.
(8) Thank you that You are my Father.
(9) Help those who are blind to see.
(10) Thank you that you are the good shepherd and help me to hear your call.
(11) Thank you that you hate suffering and one day will wipe away every tear from my eyes.
Thank you for what I have learned so far and help me to learn more in John. Help me to have a better relationship with you. Amen.
