"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.'" - Revelation 21:3
John again hears a voice from God's throne in heaven. This time it is a statement of fact about the situation that exists after final judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). God now dwells with humanity. All those living on the earth are his people. God himself is with them. The key, repeated word is "with."
This is what God wants. To be with us. This is why he sent his Son into the world to save us. Why God wants to be with us so much is incredible. We are sinners and enemies. But through the gospel, we are counted holy and righteous. And so God can fulfil his desire to dwell with us.
Thank you, Father, that you want to be with us. You have saved us out of darkness into the light through the gospel. You can't wait to live with us on the new earth. Your grace towards us is amazing. Thank you for your unstoppable desire to be with us. In Jesus' name, amen.
